WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
WHAT DO WE TEACH?
WE ARE BIBLE-LOVING CHRISTIANS
WE TREASURE JESUS
WE TRUST HIS GOSPEL
WE BELIEVE THE ANCIENT FAITH
WE FOLLOW THE ANCIENT PATHS
WE ARE CONFESSIONALLY REFORMED AND PRESBYTERIAN.
BIBLICALLY
CONFORMED
We believe that the Bible is the very word of God. Every single word of the Bible is inspired by the living and true God. Since God cannot lie, we hold that the Bible is without error. Scripture is the standard. And we desire for all of our thoughts and teachings to be transformed by and conformed to Scripture.
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Proverbs 30:5
HISTORICALLY
INFORMED
God has been leading his Church to understand his truth through his Spirit for thousands of years. When it comes to understanding what the Bible teaches, we don't think that we have to reinvent the wheel. Instead, we can benefit from what our Lord has taught the Christians before us through his word. Or to put it as Charles Spurgeon once did: "It seems odd that certain men who talk so much of what the Holy Spirit reveals to themselves, should think so little of what he has revealed to others."
We believe that the ecumenical creeds of the Christian church are beneficial summaries of key doctrines of the Christian faith. We don't believe that these creeds are scriptures, but that they concisely communicate what the scriptures teach. If you aren't familiar with these, you can click on a creed title and you will be taken to that specific creed.

CONFESSIONALLY
REFORMED
One of the ways that God guided his Church to truth was through the Protestant Reformation. At that time, many godly men called the Church away from unbiblical traditions and back to the Scriptures. Some of the core convictions that these men held to were: grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, Scripture alone and to the glory of God alone. These convictions led these Christians to reject certain teachings and traditions. These convictions also led them to recover and refine certain teachings and traditions that come from the Bible. Many of these godly men met together and composed confession statements and standards. Through these documents, they communicated what the scriptures teach on various different main topics. One such set of documents came to be known as the Westminster Standards. We subscribe to these subordinate standards because we believe that they faithfully and beautifully communicate what the Bible teaches. Although we don't subscribe to the Three Forms of Unity, we have great agreement with and appreciation for the them and for those that subscribe to them.
